Have you ever wondered about the story of the person who you order your breakfast from each year at YIG?

For the past 10 years, Kalsang Gyurme has been working at the Hilton Hotel’s coffee shop. Gyurme has worked YIG weekends for all of his ten years at Hilton. Gyurme states that “everyone has been respectful, and [I] really appreciate that from all the kids.” Gyurme is Tibetan, but was born and raised in India. Working at the coffee shop was his first job after immigrating, and is now his full-time job. Every delegate should be thankful for all that Gyurme and those like him have done for YIG. Gyurme’s positive attitude is always reflected by the huge smile on his face, and everyone should make sure to say hi the next time they see him.
